Celebrating National Comic Book Day: A Look at Red Talon 4

Introduction

National Comic Book Day, celebrated on September 25th, is a special occasion dedicated to honoring the rich world of comics and the stories they tell. Unlike Free Comic Book Day, which typically falls on May 4th, National Comic Book Day provides a unique opportunity to explore the diverse range of comic book genres and discover new titles.

Red Talon 4: A New Comic Book on the Horizon

As we eagerly anticipate National Comic Book Day, we’re excited to share some exciting news about our own brand new comic book, Red Talon 4. This thrilling adventure began its journey in 2021 when author Ken R Keller started crafting the story. Fast forward to 2022, and the project gained visual life with the stunning cover art by Brian Dawson. In 2023, the talented Dan W joined the team to refine the script and ensure it was ready for its next stage.

Thanks to the successful Kickstarter campaign and our presence at the Sarasota Comic booth, we’ve secured the funding needed to bring Red Talon 4 to life. The book is now fully lettered and is on its way to the printing press.

Why Celebrate National Comic Book Day?

National Comic Book Day is a chance to:

  • Discover new titles: From superheroes to graphic novels, there’s a comic book for every one.
  • Support local comic book stores: These businesses play a vital role in the community and offer a wide selection of comic’s.
  • Connect with fellow fans: Share your favorite stories and discover new ones with like-minded individual’s.
  • Support indie comics: National Comic Book Day is a great opportunity to discover exciting titles from indie comic creators, like those published by Star Cross Comics. By supporting indie comics, you’re helping to foster a vibrant and diverse comic book industry.

Get Ready for Red Talon 4

As we eagerly await the release of Red Talon 4, we encourage you to visit your local comic book store on National Comic Book Day. Explore the shelves, discover new titles, and perhaps even pick up a copy of Red Talon 4 when it becomes available.
